Welcome to Olson’s Resort, a family owned and operated business for over seventy five years, where three generations currently work and reside. You can find us nestled in the small coastal community of Sekiu, Washington. We strive to maintain a family orientated atmosphere that is both welcoming and accomidating to all members of your family, including the family dog. We have a private beach for our guests, also we have unique wood carvings for viewing.

Sekiu is well known for its history of fishing and currently holds records with the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Our waters are legendary for both limiting boats and that ever elusive “one that got away.” Despite the fact that we have been recognized for our generous halibut seasons and an abundance of bottom fish. For the recreational crabber we offer advice of the local hot spot to ” drop the pot ” or a good place to wade for crabs for the adventerous ones. We also have wonderful underwater gardens waiting to be seen for the divers. The area provides a perfect place to watch sealife and discover critters in the tide pools. There are plenty of eagles that reside on our property so there always around for viewing.
We are far from the hussle and bussle of your everyday life.

Enjoy beach combing on our private beach at Olson’s Resort. Here you will find endless treasures of shells, agates, and sealife. While on the beaches, don’t forget to search the skys for treasures as we have an impressive amount of Bald Eagles, our national bird. Not too mention our own personal resident eagle that can be seen daily swooping from his tree nest to any open boat piling. We offer nature trails leading to “The Caves,” a well known spot for fishing but also a great display of nature at its best. The caves are naturally carved out of the hillside facing the straits and offers a canyon like feel to the occasional visitor. Don’t feel like hiking? Sit back and enjoy the scenery. Summer will find ocean liners making their deliveries to Seattle, cruise ships on their way in and out of the straits, not to mention sailboats, grey and killer whales, sea lions, harbor seals, and so much more.
The surrounding area provides lots of outdoor adventures

Clallam Bay offers public access to beaches along with a small state park. From there you can walk around Slip Point, tides permitting, to Fossil Beach and yes, you will actually find fossils and yes, you are allowed to take them home. There is a small grocerie store there along with a gas station, liquor store, auto and marine repair.

The Hoko-Ozette community provides areas of Olympic Natural Park including Lake Ozette. Keep your eye out for the Hoko heard of elk, as they like to make summer appearances. The lake itself harbors three islands; Garden, Tivoli, and Baby. You can swim, launch a boat and go water skiing or tubing at several of the lakes daytime use areas. The lake has great freshwater fishing with perch, bass and trout.

Pillar Point is a known recreational crabbing area that has an exceptional reputation fo full crab pots, or for the adventurous ones, go wading in from the shore to get their limits. It is a daytime use only park and has restrooms facilities there.

Neah Bay is also a small fishing town and tribal reservation, 19 miles west of Sekiu. There are lots of sandy beaches and trails to explore, they also provide a tribal museum.

WELCOME STEELHEAD FISHERMAN

Experience bank or drift fishing in the Clallam, Hoko, and Sekiu Rivers. Generally, spoons, sand shrimp, and eggs are the best route to go. The nearest place for sand shrimp or worms would be Forks so it’s best to grab some on your way out. Waders optional.

Hunters can expect to find themselves surrounded by some of the most inhabited forests that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. There is an impressive amount of huntable acreage for everyone in the family from young hunters to the most experienced of nature enthuisiasts. Our area currently offers game tags for the following (which can also be purchased in our office for your convience.): Deer, Elk, Bear, and Cougar.

THE SECOND WEEKEND OF EVERY JULY WE HAVE CLALLAM BAY - SEKIU FUNDAYS

BEST FIREWORKS SHOW ON THE PENINSULA

PARADE

FAIR VENDORS

AND GOOD FOOD AND MUSIC

PLEASE COME AND JOIN US IN SOME GREAT FAMILY FUN!!!!!
